He uses Normal Attacks for most of this phase, and can be killed at the end of this phase.At the end of this phase, Papyrus realizes that the copies of Sans and Undyne are not real, and apologizes to you.Undyne is revived after the Special Attack.
His Special Attack is both Sans and him wearing COOL DUDE clothes while playing pong with your SOUL and some bones.His attacks in this phase are mostly average, but some of them are extremely unfair.One of his fist is in the air while the other is by his side.Before this phase, Papyrus gives up until he realizes that he is "THE GREAT PAPYRUS." He is then able to bring a copy of Sans, and then later, a copy of Undyne back from the dead.He eventually replaces all of your items with Spaghetti.He is able to move the bullet board, and the FIGHT, ACT, ITEM, and MERCY buttons.He is holding one half of his bone in the air while spinning the other half.Eventually, his bone will break into two halves.He can use some of Sans' attacks, (such as the Gaster Blaster), and bones can be Blue or Orange.Your attacks will be blocked by his bone.He still believes that Frisk is a good person in this phase, and tries not to hurt them.This is where his battle properly begins.His thoughts and feelings rapidly fluctuate throughout the fight, from him still thinking that you can change until moments before death, to him truly trying to kill you.įor the music playing in all of the different phases, click on this link: Phase 1 He is wielding a bone about as long as he is tall in Phase 1, and the same bone broken into two halves in Phase 2.ĭuring his Pre-Battle, he explains different things that he is feeling. Overall though, his appearance is the same as the regular Papyrus'. His battle body in Phase 2 appears to be slightly damaged, or at the very least, scratched, while in Phase 3 and 4, it is severely damaged. Primarily in Phase 1, he is crying, but there are other times in the fight that he cries. Specifically in Phase 3, his equivalent to Sans' Bad Time Eye occasionally flickers between orange and light blue. This is the idea behind Disbelief Papyrus.ĭisbelief Papyrus is wearing Sans' jacket, and his right eye glows orange in Phase 1, 2, and 3 a concept similar to Sans' Bad Time Eye. Instead of meeting Sans in the Last Corridor, you meet Papyrus, and the events from this time on lead up to his fight with you.Īt this point, Papyrus has lost all the belief and faith that he had that humans could be good, and is now out to get revenge for the death of his brother, and friends. He stops Papyrus from fighting you in Snowdin, and tries to fight you himself, but dies, leaving Papyrus to watch all of his friends die with his own eyes. Story/DescriptionĪfter you, (the protagonist), repeatedly play through a Genocide Route, Sans gets sick of watching Papyrus, and his friends turn to dust and die, so he finally decides to interfere. He seems to have the abilities to manipulate Gaster Blasters and telekinesis, much like Sans from Undertale where he often switches soul modes of the protagonists, making his battle being the hardest in the entire game.Papyrus no longer believes in you. However, he has his serious moments, which is shown more often when Sans is killed. Since he is a laid back individual, he often sleeps at a lot of his multiple jobs if not taking breaks. He is highly supportive of his brother's goals but sometimes mocks it for fun. Papyrus also has an enthusiasm for honey. Papyrus generally shows his humerus (pun intended) side, often inserting puns and jokes into his sentences which annoys Sans. Conversely, he suggests that this knowledge could be "a poor excuse for being lazy." He often wonders if his indolence stems from his knowledge that any progress he makes will be erased when the timeline resets. He is very protective of his brother and threatens the protagonist if they kill him (but fights if the case is in the genocide route). Most of his laziness is a combination of nihilism and apathy towards life, shown especially when fighting him in the genocide route. Papyrus is rather calm and lazy around his environment and surrounding. However, the fact that he wears a hoodie and baggy pants remains. However, in Team Switched version, Papyrus' clothing colors are more similar to his Undertale counterpart. When serious, his black eye-sockets get wider like UT Sans. He is often shown smoking, and often looks rather calm and tired. Like his Undertale counterpart, Papyrus has the same facial features. Papyrus is a tall, slender skeleton, wearing an orange hoodie and green or black shorts.
